Powered by GoogleI honestly cannot say enough great things about Hugs & Bugs! My grandson enjoyed and grew so much during his times there starting at age 1 1/2. Miss Louisa is the kindest, most loving and knowledgeable teacher, who encouraged all the children to get involved in the messy paint, water, beans, whatever was available. I brought her ideas home with me too. Will couldn’t wait to see Miss Louisa and dive into the activities each class. I could see his confidence grow in trying new things, which is a skill he carries with him now. Miss Olivia has created a wonderful place for children!
We’ve had such an incredible experience with our son in the mommy and me program at Hugs & Bugs. The classes are so thoughtfully designed and you can truly see how much intention goes into each session. Every class feels like a new adventure, and our son has grown so much in his confidence, curiosity, and willingness to try new things. Olivia is amazing. She creates such a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment, not just for the kids but for the parents too. You can tell how passionate she is about what she does, and how much she genuinely cares about each child’s development and experience. She’s also been incredibly helpful to us as parents, offering guidance, reassurance, and support along the way. We’ve loved it so much that we’re continuing on with the school program, which feels like the best testament to how special this place is. It’s truly a gem in Hoboken and such a beautiful community for little ones to learn, explore, and get messy
Hugs & Bugs was our son Nico’s first school, and we couldn’t have asked for a more caring, thoughtful, and nurturing environment. The teachers met each child exactly where they were, with genuine compassion and patience, and created a space where kids felt safe to explore, express themselves, and grow. The program is wonderfully play-based and creative, with a strong focus on sensory learning, outdoor time in the park, and hands-on discovery. The classroom setting feels warm and inviting—not institutional—more like a second home than a traditional school. What truly sets Hugs & Bugs apart is their out-of-the-box approach and deep respect for childhood development. Nico was supported emotionally, socially, and creatively, and we’ll always be grateful for the foundation they helped build. An all-around amazing school that we wholeheartedly recommend. — Bobby & Family
Hugs & Bugs has been a magical experience for my 4 and 6 year old this summer. The staff is so kind and caring. Weekly themes kept my children eagerly awaiting arrival to camp each morning. Thank you for enforcing creativity and a love for learning in them! See you in June!
Both of my very active sons love coming to Hugs and Bugs. They have both attended from 18 months on and love the sensory, messy, outdoor play. They develop their fine motor skills, communicate more, and listen better after these classes! Both of them ask to go all the time and I am sure we will be attending for years to come.
