Hudson Heights Art Studio (819 W 187th St, Manhattan) runs a choice-based summer art camp organized by theme weeks, opening each day with a short lesson and project followed by open studio time. Themes include fiber arts (sewing, embroidery, knitting), collage and papermaking, sculpture and architecture (cardboard, clay), and printmaking. Powered by GoogleJeff is the best. Free creative play in a supportive and fun environment. It's our favorite extracurricular!
Took my daughter for her first art class and she loved it. We're for sure bringing her back for more classes. Love the neighborhood and its not far from the train or bus
Vibes are great and Jeff is a fun and cool guy to talk to! I love the adult figure drawing class
This is an indispensable business in the neighborhood. I’ve been taking my son here since he was a toddler, and while he’s not usually artistically inclined, he really enjoys Jeff’s art camps and drop-in sessions. Jeff does a great job of finding ways to connect kids with media and methods that build on their innate skills.
We love HHAS! Such a great option for our 5 year old, now 6. Great resource in the neighborhood and Jeff is excellent with the kids. Can’t recommend the Studio enough if you’re looking for an artful activity for your child!!
