Private

HOTT Theatre for Children, at 1755 The Exchange in the Atlanta/Marietta area, teaches theatre and film acting to children ages 4 to 14, with an emphasis on audition preparation for Atlanta's film industry. Classes are kept small so each child gets one-on-one instructor time, and the studio takes students to networking events and sends them out on auditions. Tuition is about $200 a month with a one-time $100 registration fee, and families may audit the first class free. Its published model is ongoing monthly classes, not a summer camp.

My daughter attended HOTT Theatre for 3 years. She had the best experience and learned so many life-long skills. Lauren, her staff, and all of the special guests from the film industry were kind, caring, and committed to helping the kids grow into better actors and better people. HOTT Theater introduced my daughter to her agent and paved the way for her to get many acting jobs. I would recommend HOTT Theater for any child who is looking for a beginning acting class in a loving environment.

The classes start at 9. She made a class at 8am for my child. I had to cancel once because my child was sick. The other time i was in a car wreck and woke up 25 mins late and called her to let her know i would be late and she put my child out the class for that. We stayed up all Friday preparing for her class just to get put out. It would’ve been better is she tried to talk to see what’s going on or if we could make another time. Because she cancel more than twice and on those days me and my child was up and ready to go to class. But i called in late once and we got put out. She said it’s in the contract I signed. I’m a single mom. You would think she would atleast held a conversation with me first because i paid her for the month just to not get one class in. Good thing is what she taught my daughter. But out of 5 month with her we learned the same material and my 4 years was anxious to learn more. First door to be shut in our face. I’m sure it won’t be the last. My child have great potential and she will regret what she did. Very heartless.
