Yacht club junior sailing program on Long Island Sound teaching the basics of sailing to roughly 30 young sailors ages 9-15, primarily in Optimist dinghies with U.S.-certified instructors. Families enroll for 2-, 4-, 5- or 6-week blocks across the summer; the club says 4- to 6-week requests are almost certainly guaranteed a spot while 2-week requests are filled as available. Club membership is not required and families do not need to own a boat. The program runs from the club's Larchmont Manor Park waterfront and is organized by volunteer co-chairs; registration is accepted only by emailed Adobe PDF form.
