Free four-week summer arts program in downtown Springfield for students age 11 and older, meeting five days a week. Participants choose among music, film, design, theater, dance, visual arts and technical arts such as live audio mixing, lighting design and beat making, working with teaching artists on professional equipment and completing real projects; a reading intervention is offered to any student who opts in. Families choose a full day (8am-4pm) or a half-day option (8am-1pm or 12pm-4pm), with early arrival and late dismissal available. Programs are free to Springfield residents and run by the nonprofit Hope for Youth & Families.
