Powered by GoogleCool place for kids. Lots to see and lots to do. Visited with my granddaughter.
I cannot say enough positive things about this place! The staff is phenomenal, especially Janna, Charlie and Domonique. I took my special education class here for a field trip and the staff and location was so accommodating. They took their time breaking down the content for my students. Then they continued to engage with all the students when it came time for free play- even explaining for STEAM information for them! If you're looking for an educational and engaging field trip, this is definitely the place!! Or, if you're looking to bring your kiddo of any age, pop in on Saturdays to explore!
My kids love going to the science center. There's stuff for all ages. We're very excited to try out a week of camp this summer also.
What an amazing place in the community to encourage curiosity in children! How does this work? Why does this happen? What will happen if I do this? Can I really do that? Where will this go? All great questions that can be explored at the Homewood Science Center! This was our first visit, and my 5yo twins had a blast learning about different careers where a STEM education can be applied, building roadways and pathways, weighing objects, adjusting weight on pulleys, coding a caterpillar, connecting tubes for a ball drop, seeing the components behind a wall, and upcycling materials to create a take-home-craft. We read a book, counted bones, and played with other curious children. There were cleaning supplies on hand in the maker’s space as well as hand sanitizer. The space will bright with colors and ample comfortable, child-appropriate seating. Would we come back? Heck yeah! Thank you, Mr. Charlie, and all the other wonderful staff at HSC for a fun Friday filled with learning.
Cool Experience. We went on a STEM Saturday. My children enjoyed all of the activities as well as a free Yoga class by Serendipity Yoga & Wellness.
