I took an advanced beginner pickle ball class at Harvard Gulch in March/April this year. This class was great. I learned so much in each lesson. Our instructor, Fernando, was the best instructor I have ever had. He was very organized. Each week we had specific learning objectives that he would go through. During the lesson, we would review the objectives to make sure we understood all of the exercises. We learned a variety of different exercises to improve our serves, volleys, balance, strategy, technique, etc. The class was so good that I tried to take another advanced beginner class from Fernando, but they were all booked up with a long waiting list. Several people in our class were able to get into Fernando's next class. I will definitely be back next quarter. And, this was my first time at Harvard Gulch. The staff were very friendly and I liked the facility. Overall, it was an excellent experience. 10 stars!
Great recreation center! Very clean and staff is friendly and nice . They have a big outdoor pool and lots of good group fitness classes ! The best one is the Zumba class on Mondays @6pm … with yours truly! 😜
I lost my ring in the grass at the pool and by the time I noticed the pool was already closed. I called the Rec Center instead and was put on hold while a young sounding gentleman went and looked for it. He got back on the line and said he didn't see it but he'd leave a note for the lifeguards to see the next day. I got a phone call about 40 minutes before they closed and he told me he had found it! I am so grateful that young man went above and beyond to continue to search for my ring. Major kudos! I've had nothing but kind service and helpful staff every time I've visited and that was the cherry on top!
This Rec center was absolutely packed on a super mellow Tuesday afternoon! They have an excellent community center "chill lounge area" with a nice pool table and even an openly accessible kitchen! The outdoor basketball court& baseball fields are well maintained and this rec center hosts many community recreational sports leagues for ALL ages! This community resource is very valuable and seems to be well utilized & appreciated by its local community members. The after school programs they host seem to be very popular! The aquatics center is very impressive as well!
