Instructor told my child numerous times during her class, she was a punk for not jumping in the deep side of pool. Very unprofessional and when calling to voice my concerns, no one called by. Kept calling back then mgr told me they would change my instructor. No apology from the instructor to my child. Then new instructor played on her phone while kids were in pool. Paid Sessions ended shortly after that. Would not return.

This is as honest as I can be: I truly feel like Gwinnett Aquatics is more focused on taking your money than providing a quality swim lesson experience. From May 13th to the 29th, there has been heavy rain and thunderstorms on and off. Despite the weather, this company makes no effort to communicate about class cancellations. You have to physically show up—often in the rain—just to be told that class is canceled. I had no idea the facility didn’t have an indoor pool. Everything is outside, and only partially covered, meaning if it rains, the kids get wet—while waiting for someone to maybe call it off. Even worse, when classes are canceled due to bad weather, they don’t offer makeup days. Instead, they tack on 5 to 10 extra minutes to future classes, which is not an adequate replacement. If your session runs out, that’s it. Your child misses out, and you’re just out of luck. It’s not right, and it feels like a poor way to handle something that’s out of the kids’ and parents’ control. Also, during my very first visit with my kids, I was sitting in the waiting area and overheard a man yelling at the children during the session. That alone left a bad impression and didn’t sit right with me. At this point, I’d rather pay more at the YMCA, where I know my money is going toward a well-organized, respectful, and reliable program. You live and you learn—and I’ve learned I won’t be back.

I strongly advise not choosing this place. Firstly, I have no idea how frequently they change the water, which resulted in my child contracting an ear infection after swimming there. Additionally, there is a lack of consistency with the course instructors. While my kids began as level 1 swimmers with competent instructors, once they reached level 4, they were assigned different instructors each time they repeated the level. This inconsistency is concerning, and it's frustrating not seeing the same instructors on the roster for an extended period. This lack of stability reflects poorly on their professionalism. Furthermore, this place seem outdated and poorly maintained, with broken equipment and inadequate hygiene standards. Overall, my experience has been highly disappointing, and I regret not seeking alternative options sooner.

My 2 children have had 2 lessons and I've decided not to send them back, although I'll lose the money I've paid for the month. My 11 year old son had a great time with the young man assisting him. My 6 year old daughter is the issue. She has NEVER had swim lessons and I assumed care would be taken given her age and lack of experience. Her assigned instructor has been out sick. The young lady that assisted seemed ok enough and I again assumed the assigned instructor would be better. Upon learning that the instructor would be out again, I reached out to see if my daughter could work with someone else as it would be inconvenient to bring my son and not my daughter. They did accommodate. I sat in disbelief as I watched the instructor. As she assisted her more advanced students, my daughter was slowly drifting into water too high for her. I immediately ran over to bring attention to this. The final straw was when I saw the instructor dunk my daughter into the water! She justified this by telling me they teach their students to be self sufficient. My daughter hasn't been TAUGHT anything! It's her 2nd lesson and she left crying!! My son started at Goldfish. He was TERRIFIED of water to the point of shaking. Now he LOVES water partially due to the technique they used. But I take responsibility for making too many assumptions about this place and not asking enough questions prior. Never again!

They offer 1 on 1 lessons. We were connected with A. Haskins, awesome experience. The progress she has made is exactly what I was looking for. The lessons pool is shallow and heated. If you are looking for more advanced training, they do that too. The team they are training look like precise soldiers.
