We hosted our yoga retreat at Camp Hoover and our experience was truly magical. The setting felt serene and restorative from the moment we arrived. The snow, the lake, the cabins, and the natural environment created a peaceful atmosphere that our participants absolutely loved. We are very grateful for Deb, the property manager and director, whose support before and during our retreat was outstanding. Her communication and guidance made planning and coordination very smooth. The staff also deserves a special mention. AJ and Dwane were exceptionally kind, supportive, and responsive throughout our stay. Their presence made a real difference. The facilities were clean, organized, and well maintained. The layout of the space worked beautifully for our programming. The winds and snowfall during our weekend made the experience even more memorable. It felt as if nature was collaborating with us. Overall, Camp Hoover offered the perfect combination of beauty, simplicity, and warmth. We left feeling deeply grateful for the experience and we would gladly return for future retreats.

Camp Henry Lou Hoover Is a great place Held my wedding here it was beautiful We had family and friends staying in the cabins and they enjoyed it very much Hiking trails were very nice and the lake is always great especially in the heat we were having ! Had our wedding here June 2024. It was such a wonderful experience. Deborah was the absolute best and honestly helped us more than we could’ve asked for. The staff were lovely and helpful. We were able to rent out the whole property for 4 nights to ensure set and up and clean up were easy. If you want to have a non-traditional “backyard wedding” feel then this is your place.

We Love Camp Hoover! This is a Girl Scout camp run by GS Heart of NJ. My family spent the weekend here in the Sinawik Lodge. This cabin can be rented year round because it has heat and electric. And you do not need to be a Girl Scout to stay here. You can camp with your “pod”. We had to fill out COVID waivers and they provided a-lot of detailed information before we arrived. The cabin has a fully functioning kitchen. A single bathroom with 3 stalls, 3 showers, and 3 sinks. There are 4 bedrooms with 3 sets of bunkbeds in each room. The main living area has lots of tables and benches, unfortunately no comfortable chairs or couches. So we brought our camping chairs and sat it those most of the time. It also has a working fireplace. We went during the winter with cold weather and snow on the ground and the cabin remained very warm and cozy to the point we had to turn the heat down. Although the camp property is expansive we stayed close to the cabin all weekend. The weather wasn’t great but we made the best of it. We went for a walk, visited the camp store, and built a mid afternoon fire outside while the sun was out. It was amazing! We also played lots of games inside. My young children had lots of fun and it was nice to be away from the monotonous routine of pandemic life for a while. Even in the middle of winter.
