Unsolicited review, I just wanted to say how wonderful Gentle Arts Studio After School program has been for my daughter and what an amazing team Kelly Borges has developed. All the coaches are so sincerely invested in the growth and development of the kids. I’m continuously struck by the amount they go above and beyond to engage with the kids. Not only is it a safe and loving environment, but they are actively teaching them to be conscientious, independent humans and having fun at the same time. The Jiu Jitsu training is an incredible added bonus teaching them discipline and resilience and confidence. I had low expectations for after school programs… just hoped they would get her homework done and have a little activity in the afternoons while my husband and I were still at work. Gentle Arts has been such a blessing, I feel so lucky to have the peace of mind that she’s safe but also the enrichment is really invaluable. Thank you xx

I've had my son in the GAS program for a couple of years now. BJJ class, after school program and summer camps. We love it. The team takes a very personal approach to each child. Additionally the martial arts discipline and focus have been a huge boost for him with school/schoolwork.

Summer camp at Gentle Art Jujitsu in Astoria is amazing for the kids. The coaches were warm and created a happy environment. They connected with each child personally and tailored their instruction accordingly. The activities struck a balance between fun and learning, with various Jujitsu techniques and team challenges. The camp emphasized values like discipline and self-confidence. The facilities were excellent, safe, and organized. Overall, I highly recommend Gentle Art Jujitsu's summer camp for a memorable and enriching experience.
