We started bringing our daughters to Genesis Hoops when they were just 3, 4, and 5 years old, and it has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for their development, both as athletes and as individuals. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear that Genesis Hoops was more than just a basketball program—it was a community that genuinely cared about the growth and well-being of each player. Tai and Rudy, the heart and soul behind Genesis Hoops, have created a nurturing, family-oriented environment where every child feels valued and supported. Coach Rudy and his team of coaches especially Tam, Tremayne and Cam are exceptional in their approach to player development. They don’t just focus on skills and drills; they take the time to understand each player’s unique needs and goals. Their approachability and honesty make them not just coaches but mentors who keep it real and genuinely care about each player’s progress. Genesis Hoops offers a wealth of resources to help players grow, whether it’s through personalized coaching, access to training tools, or simply providing a positive and supportive environment where kids can thrive. When we were looking for a travel basketball team for our son to join, we research travel teams local to the Murrieta/Temecula area. What stood out about GenesisHoops was how long the program had been successfully running and all the student athletes they have helped make high school and college teams. Our son transitioned from recreational basketball to travel basketball in the 7th grade, which was over 2 years ago. The decision to play travel basketball and do trainings with GenesisHoops was the best decision for our son in his journey through basketball and competitive sports. Training with GenesisHoops, hands-down, helped prepare our son for high school basketball. During the end-of-the season debrief/feedback conferences with Coach Rudy and Tai , our son shared his short and long term goals with basketball. Coach Rudy challenged our son the following year by making him play different positions that he wasn’t used to playing or felt comfortable playing. It didn’t make sense to us at first, but as the season progressed, our son developed the skills and confidence in any position he was put in with significant improvements in shooting and in defense, making him a more valuable and versatile player. When our son would occasionally struggle, it was hard to watch, but we were committed to trust in the process. What we discovered was through these struggles, he had the most substantial growth. He learned how to adjust, focus, and persevere though challenges. GenesisHoops taught our son how to manage and learn from the wins and the losses. The mental and emotional skills our son learned from his coaches helped mold his mindset and attitude, paired with the continued physical development, overall has made our son a competitively fierce athlete. Looking back, if there was anything we would have done differently, we would have joined GenesisHoops sooner. Genesis is a program that genuinely cares about their athletes. We started with camps. My children did not know much about the sport, but through the camps, they were able to develop an interest in it. Our kids have since attended many different camps, and we find that the Genesis camps offer great value for what is provided. At the end of the day, the kids are excited about their experience and exhausted from the excellent workout. It's also great that there are always a minimum of 3 coaches at the camps. Genesis is an excellent program because it treats its athletes like family. Over the two years that our kids have played for their travel program, we have experienced many things in our personal lives. Tai and Rudy, the program coordinators, have always been very understanding and shown genuine concern for our children and our family as a whole. The coaches are also no different. Furthermore, the Genesis program provides high-level coaches to help develop their players, and these are the same coaches that are at their camps. A year ago, my daughter could not dribble a basketball, but now she can compete at a high level, all thanks to the commitment and dedication of each player's development regardless of where they are in comparison to others. I would highly recommend this program.

Love this place! Tai & Rudy are Awesome so great with the kids my son Jaiden has been playing for two seasons now and loves it. Its like a family here. The Coaches and staff are outstanding with the players. You can tell that its more than just a job to them. They have a passion for helping kids.
