Our son joined Magic Elite Basketball Academy over three years ago with very little basketball experience, having only played casually at school. What has kept us here is their focus on player development, skill building, and creating a positive environment where kids can grow their confidence and develop a genuine love for the game. The coaching staff is outstanding. Every coach has played at a high level and brings a depth of knowledge that really shows. The players rotate through different coaches, giving them exposure to different skills and teaching styles. Austin has been especially amazing with our son and all of the kids, combining great instruction with encouragement and positivity. We also greatly appreciate Anthony's leadership of the program. He keeps everything organized, communicates well with families, and is always available to answer questions. If you're looking for a basketball program that prioritizes development over wins and losses and helps kids reach their potential, we highly recommend Magic Elite Basketball Academy.

My two boys LOVE Magic Elite. We have been attending for four years, starting in the Rookie Academy and progressing through the Development and Prospect Academy, with an eye towards the club team down the line. While we have tried other basketball programs in Orange County, we keep coming back to Magic because it serves up the right combination of everything we are looking for. The coaches are truly wonderful, professional, legit, and make basketball fun while teaching solid fundamentals (as a bonus the coach to kids ratio is nice and small so every kid gets great attention). Sean, AJ and the program staff thoughtfully take your kid’s progress and your feedback into account and tailor to their interest and skill level, without rushing or letting them fall behind. There’s something for everyone, from beginners to advanced players, which is helpful especially if you have more than one child who wants to play. The gym is excellent and clean, not loud, crowded or out of the way, with easy parking and plenty of seating, and it’s located at a community center with a library, playground, nearby restaurants, and plenty of other things to do before or after practice or for siblings who are just chilling. It’s a one stop shop that makes taking the whole family super easy and convenient. Importantly, we have met some amazing people at Magic, including other families and players, over the years as our kids have grown up together. Finally just as a parent who’s interested in my kids’ growth, I have appreciated learning from the coaches there too myself, understanding how best to navigate the potentially complicated world of youth basketball, support my kids in what they want to do, and focus on what really matters most which at the end of the day is their development and love of sports. If you are considering Magic Elite, we highly recommend giving it a shot.

Magic Elite Basketball Academy is truly the most wonderful sports program I’ve ever encountered. There are at least 8 coaches per session so each kid gets really personalized attention. And these coaches are absolutely amazing!!! They really take an interest in each child and genuinely want them to do well. My son is 5 and this is his first real sports experience and they have been so patient in the process of him learning… not only basketball but also the intangibles of following directions, staying on task, and working together. They treat my son with so much love and compassion and even when he gets a little silly they redirect with kindness. It’s like having a bunch of big brothers who care and run an incredible program. I am so grateful for the gift they have given my son and my family and this academy garners my unequivocal recommendation.
