Frozen Ropes Albany is a 12,000-square-foot baseball and softball training center at 3 Interstate Ave, part of the national Frozen Ropes chain, offering private lessons, training classes, HitTrax batting leagues, travel teams, cage rentals and parties. Its posted summer camps are week-long baseball and softball instructional camps run at partner Little League and girls' softball fields around the Capital Region - Cohoes, Schoharie, Scotia Glenville, East Greenbush and Classie Lassies - with both half-day and full-day registration on most weeks, plus indoor camps at the Albany facility.

★★Dirty WaterSmall, run down facility with not much to offer but some hitting and pitching. No infield simulator to practice plays. No pitching machines that I could see. The lighting sucks. Seems very dim to me. As a parent, it’s not a comfortable facility either. The few decades old metal folding chairs they have for you to sit in are all broken and most are missing their back so you’re leaning against a metal bar. The place is always cold too. I dread going here and hate waiting for my son to finish practicing. This place has all the charm and comfort of a basement. All Star Academy in Latham is a much nicer facility by leaps and bounds. This place could use some TLC. At the very least replace the broken chairs for the parents.
