The Tri-City ValleyCats are a professional Frontier League baseball team playing at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy, where they have been based since 2002, not a summer camp. The club's youth offering is a two-day catching clinic for ages 8-13 held in August at $175, sold through the team store. It is a spectator baseball club rather than a program families enroll children in for the summer.

The team competes in the Frontier League and is managed by Greg Taggert. Prior to becoming a member of the Frontier League the ValleyCats won three championships in the New York-Penn League. The team plays hard and games are usually competitive. Tickets for the games are affordable and parking is free. You can save a little money if you purchase your tickets online a day or more before the game. The ValleyCats play in Joseph L Bruno stadium. The stadium has excellent sightlines to the field, great concessions, and a team merchandise store. The team puts together really good promotions and it’s worth checking the schedule to see what each game offers. Amongst the team’s best promotions are the fireworks nights. The fireworks are the best in the Capital Region! There is good entertainment between innings. Some of the best activities are the hotdog races and mayor’s races. The team mascot "Southpaw" is the coolest in the area. Whatever way you want to put it, you are bound to have a good time at a ValleyCats game. Vamos Gatos!
