An Oak Park art studio for K-6th graders whose summer camps mix art with sewing, science, tech and math. Camps come in full-day and half-day options spanning 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a supervised lunch break between morning and afternoon sessions; camp topics include abstract art, sculpture, printmaking, outdoor art and open studio. The studio also runs year-round art and sewing classes, private lessons and scout badge workshops.

Phyllis Frick makes so much available to the participants; using several mediums in one project, making use of recycled/ found objects as tools or materials, and introducing different styles. Our 6-year old daughter had her birthday party here with 6 other kids and it was such a perfect gathering! They all sat around and chatted and encouraged each other. She has also participated in week-long day camps, after school programs, and one-day camps. Each have been excellent! Phyllis is an excellent teacher and a responsive and adaptable business owner. Happy she’s in the neighborhood!

Since then we've been taking art classes and it's the highlight of our week! She encourages critical and creative thinking and classes are always well prepared with some insightful background, a bit of art history, practical instruction and very importantly... they're FUN! HIGHLY recommend! She's great!
