Full disclosure, I joined the board of this league two months ago. My review, however, is about my prior experience with Fort Worth Youth Soccer Association (FWYSA). All three of my boys have played in the FWYSA. In total, we've participated in the league for over 10 years and continue in this league. My oldest moved to Club three years ago to get more specialized coaching. My middle moved to a competitive league two years ago. My youngest is still in FWYSA. The league is well run, in my opinion, especially when I compare it to many of the other youth leagues my children have played in. The competition varies, but that is normal for a Recreational soccer league. The fields are generally in good shape. Some of the smaller fields can have dirt patches, but this is north Texas, so it is hard to avoid unless you go to a turf field. If you're looking for a recreational soccer league, FWYSA is a great option.

My son played a soccer game here today and overall it was a solid experience. The complex felt organized and easy to navigate, the fields were clearly marked, and parking was manageable. It rained last night, and the field held up well, but the grass is thick, so the ball tends to slow-roll compared to a tighter-cut pitch—players definitely have to adjust their touches and passes. One practical note for parents: the bleachers aren’t covered, and it was windy today, so it can feel chilly even if the temperature isn’t that low. Bring a jacket, maybe a blanket, and consider your own chair if you want a better spot. Overall, good facility for youth games and we’ll be back.

They suspended the team for 2 weeks because the coach didn't like the calls the Ref was making for two games in a row. Why would they make the kids suffer the consequences when it was between the Ref and the Coach? The poor kids didn't have anything to do with it. After reading some of these other reviews, it looks like they have a referee problem... 🤷🏻‍♂️

The fields are infested with fire ants. It started years ago in the eastern corner and now that colony has spread throughout the complex. A child was sent to the ER with anaphylaxis a few years ago due to an untreated infestation at the Westside fields.

Fort Worth Youth Soccer Benbrook is a nice space to go and enjoy soccer games. There were several fields and a lot of teams playing. The fans seemed to be enjoying the competitive nature of the youth playing. It was clean and there were several trash cans around the fields. The concession stand was reasonably priced for the snacks they had available for sale. Nice experience!
