Eden Farms is a family-owned horse stable in the Upstate near Pickens that runs a summer horse camp for children, grouped by age and riding ability. Days include a riding lesson or trail ride plus hands-on horsemanship — grooming, saddling, safety and feeding — along with horse-themed arts and crafts, a Bible devotional and a snack, ending the week with a family horse show. It is offered as a 3-day or 5-day session in a covered arena and air-conditioned facilities.

★★Alexandria judgeBeyond beautiful establishment. However, very disappointed with the trail ride I had. I called and asked if they were doing any trail rides today, and I was told yes at 1pm, I was asked if I would like to join, to which I said yes. I was told over the phone the ride would be an hour long, and that it was $80. Our ride was supposed to start at 1, we didn’t get on the trails until 1:30. The guide who was a young gentleman informed me through light conversation he has “outgrown” horses and prefers mules…it is very clear that he wasn’t lying. He was about 20 feet ahead of all of us the entire trail ride, he didn’t say a single word to any of us the entire trail ride, and he brought us back to the barn around 2:10. Definitely do not recommend unless they adjust their guides. Disappointed to say the least and definitely not worth $80.
★★★★Jan KlingelI am just coming back from a ride on last Saturday. I had a very well behaved horse (Asher), who was a bit on the stubborn side but not bad. The tour took roughly an hour thru the woods. From one point we had a wonderful view of Mount Table Rock. We went in walking speed so anybody can join these safe ride outs. The staff was friendly and Eden Farms in itself is a very nice place, far away from people and traffic.
