Camp Judaea is a Jewish overnight camp on 158 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Hendersonville, founded in 1961 and part of the Young Judaea movement. Campers are placed by rising grade into named units: 11-day Rishonim sessions for rising 2nd-4th graders, four-week Offarim through Bogrim sessions for rising 3rd-9th graders, a Chalutzim outdoor adventure track for rising 10th graders, and separate teen programs for grades 10-12; rising 1st-4th graders can also come for a single-day 'A Day at CJ' visit. Programming is Israel-centered and combines sports and outdoor activities with Jewish life at camp. Camp Judaea is ACA-accredited and offers needs-based tuition assistance alongside Federation, synagogue and One Happy Camper scholarships.
