Powered by GoogleI went camping with my class and it was Amazing 🤩. Best camp food out there and very understanding and calm staff (also nice).
AMAZING experience for my 9 year old!! My son just came back from 2 nights at EHOS which was the overnight excursion part of his day camp. He was not overly excited to go and came back enthusiastically sharing all of the many exciting things he did- boat, hiking, learning about the environment, campfire, games- he had an incredible time! He felt comfortable and said that the EHOS staff were extremely nice and knowledgable. My son has severe food allergies (nuts/peanuts/sesame), we are super careful and successful avoiders; he is also well-trained about checking ingredients and good about articulating questions to staff/chefs. Nonetheless, I was very nervous about sending him away from home for the first time, to a place that I didn't really know. I was VERY happy and VERY reassured by his experience, and ours. We emailed EHOS and received a very thorough reply explaining what foods he could/couldn't eat (the vast majority were safe and they don't have any peanuts at all). The cookies were made on facilities that also process nuts/peanuts so he avoided those and some other baked goods, but was able to enjoy s'mores and popsicles. He reported that he talked to the chef who makes all the food prior to each meal and this was a positive experience for him. He also said the food was DELICIOUS!! I will send him again without any reservations. I should also note that my other son who also went to the same day camp, went to EHOS two summers in a row and had a 100% positive experience and also raved about the food. I am so grateful that both of my sons had such wonderful experiences. My son returned today, looked refreshed (I guess outdoors, trees, water, and NO screens woohoo) for 3 days will do that to you), was happy and clearly grew even more confident. EXCELLENT experience!! THANK YOU ECHO HILL OUTDOOR SCHOOL!!!!
My daughter went there with her school and at first was very nervous, but when I saw the pictures on facebook there wasn't one where she didn't look happy. When she came home she told us about how amazing it was. She said the food was delicious and the counselors were very caring and knew what they were doing. This morning she was very sad because she missed the activities and her counselor in her tent Christy. I would definitely recommend this trip for any school.
I went here with my school and it was a great experience. It is a great place to challenge yourself and discover more about yourself and others. The only thing I didn’t like was the bugs, which I can’t complain about because I was sleeping outside. The best part about Echo Hill is the food. There is a large variety and always vegetarian options.
I had a wonderful time at EHOS. The food was excellent, the staff was very nice. Before I came I had no idea what it would be like but when I got there it was wonderful. You have three classes a day, the first two three hours long and the last class one hour long. I got to meet some very nice staff. A lot of people say the camp during the summer is even better then the school. Well, I've never been to the camp so I don't know. I'm sure it is just as good! It was a two hour trip by bus from West Chester, PA, It was really worth it!!!
