The Creative Kids offering is a six-week multimedia class series (painting, drawing, and sculpture) meeting Tuesday afternoons for ages 9–13, rather than a full-day camp. A parent-and-child drawing class is also offered.

Gary is a wonderful teacher who introduces ancient techniques and painters as well as more modern approaches and artists, including his own varied and inspiring work. The atmosphere, demonstrations, at -the- elbow teaching, and extra materials provided via video links are all wonderful. I look forward to every Monday! The ESAC space is wonderful. What I really liked about the class was how structured it was and how much they learned about different art techniques. The children also learned about the history of the carousel. The class itself was structured, there were clear expectations and the teacher gave each child individual attention throughout. I was present for most of the classes and I felt that all the children were engaged and excited about their project. I would likely recommend the children's art classes at the Eastside Art Center.

I have attended Dons introductory art class 1 and 2 which formed the basis of all my art work later on. I was with Sally Caswell for 3 years doing portraiture. Sally is one of the best asset teachers that I've encountered which comes from her own experience teaching at RISD and community colleges and from the fact that she's a very good artist. The price is reasonable and they have classes to meet everyone's schedules.
