Dovetail Studios runs week-long Showstoppers summer dance camps at its Montrose Ave studio on Chicago's North Side, with most sessions running 9am-3pm Monday-Friday. Themed camps span ages 3-13 depending on session (Bluey for ages 3-5, K-Pop Demon Hunters for 5-7, Showstoppers pop/TikTok/Moana themes for 8-12, and The Classics musical theatre camp for 10-13), and days mix choreography rehearsal, crafts, games and walks to nearby Horner Park. Campers bring a water bottle, lunch and snack, and a two-week musical theatre camp is run in partnership with Skyline Children's Theater for ages 7-12.

Ms. Andrea taught a 45-minute dance lesson to 18 3 to 5 year olds while the grownups socialized in the comfy lobby. We then had 45 minutes to do a dance party with all the guests, eat a birthday treat, and run around the studio with balloons, scarves, and tutus. Everyone had such a great time!
