★★★★★Marie VyasFinally!! A true football (soccer) program in the DMV! This is a safe space where the kids are taught ball mastery and skills by young, experienced coaches that they can look up to. The children are encouraged to use these skills in small sided scrimmages where they are cheered for their attempts (and not perfection) and their mistakes are encouraged to create confidence and growth! At their young ages, they are not pressured with full games where the scores matter and they are reprimanded for mistakes. They learn 2 days a week during “practice”, and get to show off (demonstrate) their new learnings on Saturdays to their parents and family members, once again, in a non-pressured, growing and confidence encouraged, small sided scrimmages environment! The children’s love of the game and having fun with the ball is cultivated, and it shows! Furthermore, the kids are not restricted to one team! They are placed according to their age groups, and then have the opportunity to play and train with different age groups and skill levels. As for the girls’ program, it is very loose, meaning that the girls are not restricted to their gender groups, and, as their skills permit and increase, and as confidence is developed, they are encouraged to practice and play with not only their gender and age group, but also to demonstrate their skills, aggressiveness and confidence with the boys - which I also believe is imperative for their growth and confidence! All around a 5 Star program!
