JCamps is the summer day camp of Shalom Austin's Dell JCC, held on the Dell Jewish Community Campus in Northwest Austin and open to all families regardless of religious affiliation. Core camp for kindergarten through 6th grade runs 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in two-week sessions and mixes swimming at the on-site aquatic center, tennis at the Hurt Family Tennis Center, sports, art, theme days and a Hebrew word of the day. Early childhood camps take children who are 3 by September 1, with half-day (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and full-day options, and a separate teen camp serves rising 7th through 9th graders. One-week specialty tracks include LEGO robotics, drone flying, Mad Science, cooking, gymnastics, martial arts, theater, music and art, most pairing a half-day of the specialty with classic camp activities.
