Powered by GoogleSigned up on a temporary pass before we decided on a membership and I'm glad I did. We have been very active the last month in pickleball, swimming and I had my kids in childcare. Apparently one of my children had an incident with a close friend of ours child and I didn't hear about it until it had escalated so much that they won't allow the child back and have denied me even applying for a membership. I didn't get a chance to talk to the childcare director or my child about the behavior before their decision was made. They wouldn't tell me specifics about what my child had done to cause the dismissal, stating that "there were multiple issues" and "we can't say specifically what happened". They want to say that my child is dangerous and can't be in childcare but won't tell me why they feel that way. In my opinion, it seems as though the childcare doesn't want to take the time or put in the effort to help children navigate big feelings and disagreements so they just slap a label on a child, regardless of what's true or not true. The only thing that was brought to my attention was handled immediately by me telling my child the behavior was unacceptable and the other child got an apology and the children hugged and my child was forgiven. I feel highly discriminated against and would NOT recommend putting your children in the childcare. I also don't appreciate being dismissed via a text message and having my own concerns ignored. Absolute lack of professionalism and problem solving. Aside from that the club is fine. Good luck moms and dads.
My daughter has been taking swimming lessons here for over a year, and we absolutely love it. Everything has been wonderful. The coaches are great, the atmosphere is friendly, and we’ve had a very positive experience. Highly recommend!
My most favorite pools in all the world. This is my happy place, and nothing else like it. The nicest surroundings, both indoor and outdoor, and it feels relaxing. I hope this never changes. Love that it was built in 1957, and it feels that way too. Thank you, for all your kindness and help to this disabled senior when I was a member there. I have to admit though that they need to pay more attention to keeping lanes open for seniors, as many seniors DO need to use the pool too, and sometimes I can see by other's comments also, that the priority seems to always go to children and swimming classes inside the inside pool which takes away from our adult/senior time. It seems the children might get too much priority over the adult/Seniors, which should be better balanced and fair.
Del Norte is a great spot for families and anyone who wants a relaxed place to stay active. There’s always something going on for the kids, and the fitness options, make it easy to keep up with your own workouts. It has a really friendly, laid-back atmosphere where you can get a workout in, spend time with family, or just relax by the pool.
New director is awesome! Asked him about ordering new workout leg straps few days ago, and he comes in the gym this morning, all smiles, with not ONE, but FOUR new ones!!! New management has been making great changes to this place!
