Crosby Recreation Center at 1610 E. Crosby Road is the City of Carrollton site for Camp Wonder, the city's summer day camp for children ages 5 to 12 and of varying abilities. Campers are split into three age units and rotate through arts and crafts, sports, STEM projects, group games and on-site entertainment, with a weekly field trip to places such as AT&T Stadium, the Perot Museum and LEGOLand Discovery Center. Camp runs 7:30am to 6pm in nine one-week themed sessions and families may register for some or all weeks. It operates under a state licensing exemption and City Council-approved Standards of Care, with an average 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio; accommodations can be requested two weeks before a session.

★★Jose MejiaGreat place for adults but not much to do for children. Used to have boxing provided by the Police Athletic League. Recreation center provides nothing for children to do physically. Under 13 are not allowed to exercise in the gyms, calisthenics wise so not touching equipment, and the large basketball areas seem to always be rented out leaving only half the court to become Lord of the Flies when it comes to play space. I feel it counterproductive when trying to create a space for children to play and stay off the streets.
