Powered by GoogleSuch an amazing soccer camp for my 11yr old nephew! He had a blast and kept asking to go back. Andrew was very flexible with our dates, had great communication, and was great with the kids. Not to mention the location is too perfect. Thanks again for everything!
Copa Beach Soccer is where my two boys have joyfully spend their summers, where they’ve learned soccer skills that directly apply to their club and school teams, and where they have taken advantage of everything that June and July in Los Angeles can offer. My younger son is 13, and is now entering his third summer on the beach. And after a few years as a camper, my 18-year-old older son has been Coach Andrew’s assistant counselor for three years. He’s also now been drafted by a U.C. school to play soccer, and he absolutely credits the footwork and stamina needed for beach soccer in helping to improve his overall game. When you are looking for a summer camp, you want a beautiful location, and it’s hard to do better than the Santa Monica beach. You want a schedule that is fulfilling, challenging, and just plain fun, and between soccer on the sand and cooling off in the ocean, you couldn’t ask for a better summer’s day. And you want a counselor whom you can trust to keep your kids safe, engaged, and — why not — maybe learning a thing or two. Andrew is an experienced soccer player and coach, a great leader of players, and just a warm, caring guy with whom I have entrusted my own kids for years. It’s easy to get to (you’ll just pull into the parking lot just north of Hollister near lifeguard tower 24), and the hours are perfect (9:00 - 3:00). It’s affordable, it’s engaging, and it’s a great place for your kids to meet like-minded young soccer players. And when you tell other parents what your kids are doing for the summer (“Oh, just playing beach soccer for six hours a day in Santa Monica”) you’ll get the response we’ve gotten for years: “That’s so amazing. And so L.A.!” Yes it is.
Copa was an incredible experience—fun, well-organized, and full of energy. The coaches were encouraging and skilled. Our son came home smiling every day and we can’t wait to sign up again next summer!
Both of my boys have been going to this camp every summer for the last several years. They have the best time and truly have no desire to do any other camp all summer long. Andrew and all of the coaches are kind, friendly and easy-going. Your kids will have an amazing summer!
Santa Monica Beach Soccer Camps revolutionized my son's play. Although the beach promotes a relaxed atmosphere the coaches are serious about their mission to have the kids "play beautifully", constantly encouraging players to think creatively and try new skills outside their comfort zone like bicycle kicks or sombreros. My son's field "vision" and overall confidence on the ball has improved significantly as playing on the sand has forced him to lift his head and use lofted passes while also working on his aerial control. While the camps are technically and physically demanding for all ages they still find time to cool off at the water's edge or go for the occasional swim. Aiden can't wait to join them again this summer. Thank you
