Codinu is a Naperville-based online coding academy that runs live, instructor-led summer coding camps alongside year-round weekly classes. Campers work in small groups at roughly a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio on project-based work in Scratch, Python, Java or JavaScript, and share their projects with peers at the end of each session. Programs are open to ages 7 to 17 and run online rather than at a physical camp site, with enrollment handled through the Sawyer platform. Daily camp hours are not listed on the site.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Codinu - Online Coding Classes For Kids directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleMy 9-year daughter attended the online summer camp this summer. It was a 2-hour class 5 days a week. She LOVED every single class. She was sad every time the class was over and looked forward to the next day with expectation. There are several advantages of learning to code in elementary school. First, learning programming empowers kids. Coding puts children in control of the computer and through experimentation builds mastery in sequencing skills, counting, problem-solving, logical thinking, cause and effect, and critical thinking. I highly recommend CONIDU!
Thanks so much, Sakina! My son enjoyed attending the coding class, and he really learned how to write coding. I like the daily journal from email. I could keep track their updates of the what they learned everyday. I like the way you divided the students into small groups from their different coding levels. This was an awesome way for them to focus on their on-level projects. Teachers to students ratio is 1:2-4. We had 12 students and 3 teachers totally including the TA. I received prompt reply from mail every time. Very well organized teaching system! I have signed up my son and girl to JavaScript and Web Design respectively as well. :)
My 7 (almost 8) year old daughter and 10 (almost 11) year old son loved their virtual classes and have both taken more than one in the last 1-2 months!! They shared the projects they were working on and kept on coding inbetween classes because inspired to do so. Sakina (instructor) sent daily updates on the class progress. We have/will defintely continue to take more classes and recommend Codinu to our family and friends! Thank you Sakina!
My son is always excited to go to Codinu. He was able to grasp the coding concepts very well that he could not learn through online free courses. The faculty here is continuously upgrading themselves to pass on the skills to the children. I have been a witness to the fun atmosphere in the class where kids enjoy and create programs at a very young age. Involvement of parents in special workshops promotes participation of the family. Being an IT person myself, I see it as a great institute with huge potential !! Highly recommend.
My 7 year old absolutely loved her Intro to Coding class! It was challenging, yet enjoyable for her, and she felt the most amazing sense of accomplishment when she gave her final coding presentation at the end of the class. The content is age appropriate, and learning coding through games makes it easy for the student. The teacher student ratio makes for a lot of 1 on 1 attention, which was also good for my 2nd grader. I highly recommend Codinu as a stepping stone for our childrens' educational future!
