Claire's Creative Adventures, on Manhattan's Upper East Side, runs small-group summer art camps for ages 3 through tweens, with about three art projects a day inspired by multicultural and contemporary artists. Groups of 3-10 keep a 3:1 student-teacher ratio, and smaller sessions are held inside The Met or the Guggenheim. Materials range from paint and clay to wood, fabric, and stop-motion animation.
