Child's Play NY runs week-long theater day camps in which kids work through stories with creative movement, theater games, and acting exercises led by professional actors; campers in 2nd-8th grade perform a show at the end of the week, with no auditions and roles curated so everyone has a moment onstage. A typical day mixes vocal warm-ups and character work in the morning, lunch and outdoor time at a local park midday, and crafts, games, and rehearsal in the afternoon. Camps serve rising PreK through 8th grade at sites in Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, and Fort Greene, are capped at 16 campers, and run a 1:4 teacher-to-camper ratio.
