Chesapeake Shakespeare Company runs full-day, week-long summer theatre camps at its Studio in downtown Baltimore for ages 7–14, with each week exploring a theme through performance, design, crafts, and stage combat. A weekend teen program serves ages 13–18. Camps run 9am–4pm with optional before- and after-care.

Always interesting to see how the magic is interpreted; really enjoyed the retiring director's take on the retiring playwrights last work. As always with CSC, a bit of music is incorporated. The king and the duke are played as a queen and the usurping sister (duke), presumably because they were the best folks for the job. Went to see Fences, the 6th play in the Baltimore staging of the August Wilson cycle. Probably the best play & staging in the cycle so far, although it's all been excellent so far. Catch it while you can.
★★★★★Tara PettitI took my family - 3 generations ranging in age from 10 to 84 - to see A Christmas Carol. We all had a wonderful time! The theater was beautiful with its ornate ceiling, columns, and old bank vault, and the seats were very comfy. The actors were skilled and fun to watch, the costumes were elaborate, the musicians talented, the seats were close to the action. Our usher, Pree, was incredibly helpful finding my elderly dad an accessible seat. They had a family room for families with young kids to retreat to.

By the time we arrived, they were singing Christmas carols on stage. The theater is small, so everything felt cozy and "Christmassy". The show was performed well and stayed true to its origins while adding a little Baltimore twist. A wonderful time was had by all! We will definitely return!

★★★★★The Hoary-EdgeIt's the Comedy of Errors, Hon was one of the BEST performances we have ever seen! The cast is SO talented, and the theater itself is a gem! As multi-generational Baltimoreans, this performance landed so much Baltimore at every twist and turn, it kept you riveted to what was next. We enjoyed the subtle recognition to formstone and the polishing of the marble steps, and so many other Baltimore quirks. The characters of the past were all well done, and the Billie Holliday performance was just stop-you-in-your-tracks stunning!! Her voice was beautiful. The entire cast was incredible. Loved the West Side Story rendition and the slow-motion scene. We are still talking about the lime and the coconut trio - another sweet, beautiful voice. We travel between CSC, Hippodrome and Everyman, and have seen one of CSC's Christmas Carols. Looking forward to Mary Stuart coming up! Again, we sincerely thank you and appreciate the effort that goes into making such an amazing performance as : It's the Comedy of Errors, Hon. The pre-pay Truist parking worked like a charm.
