My daughter recently attended a ballet camp here. She’s been dancing for 7 years at another studio, and they suggested she attend. She had a great time. She loved Mrs. Mori. She said she got good critiques and was given compliments when she self corrected or pulled through something hard, which is a huge deal for young dancers. The camp was a challenge for her that she thoroughly enjoyed.

Our 3 year old daughter has been going to this studio for 4 months now. She is always upset at the end of every class. I asked her why she always gets sad and starts crying when class ends and she said, "I wanted to keep dancing." She just danced in the spring recital and the look of pure joy on her face as the whole company received a standing ovation for their work cannot be expressed in words. Mari helped me learn how to do my daughter's hair, not an easy thing for someone who has never done more than brush their hair in their life. Our daughter's instructor Brianna does a fabulous job with the little ones and even though it seems like she is herding a bunch of dancing cats she always has a positive attitude towards them. Cannot recommend this studio enough. Update: Almost 5 years later and still going strong. My now 8 year old daughter is still dancing here along with my 6 and 3 year old daughters! They all love it tremendously. The recitals continue to be phenomenal!

Ms. Mari Mori is a jewel and we are so fortunate to have her in Lynchburg. Our daughter has taken ballet at Central Virginia Ballet for 3 years. Mari is compassionate, dedicated, professional, and intelligent. She gives the students her all! She is concerned about their progress and she is respected by students and parents alike. We hope CVB continues to grow with students and families that are eager to learn from the BEST!

Central Virginia Ballet and owner, Mari Mori, are truly a treasure in Lynchburg. My daughter has taken ballet, tap and jazz here for the past 4 years and it has been a wonderful experience. I take the Adult Ballet class on Monday mornings and find it to be the best way to start my week. The results have been increased flexibility, muscle strength and toning, and it is such a fun class!

My daughter has been a Central Virginia Ballet (CVB) student for five years, beginning at the Ballet 1 level and continuing to her current Ballet 3 level. Mari Mori, CVB Director, is a former professional ballet dancer and a gifted teacher. She teaches all the Ballet 1 through Ballet 4 (pointe) level classes. Her students have affection and respect for her. It's been my experience that students and parents both sense Mrs. Mori's care for and interest in the growth of each dancer. The students at all levels have an opportunity to perform twice a year, and the CVB shows are skillfully executed. From her comportment while teaching in the studio to the professionalism and beauty of the performances she directs, the overriding quality Mrs. Mori exhibits towards her students is respect. My daughter has learned much about focus, poise and perseverance during her time at CVB. Many of the students have been at the school for years, recognizing the treasure it is. I believe there is no better place for a child to learn the art and technique of ballet than CVB.
