Floyd Ward School of Dance runs two weeklong summer day camps, 9:00am-2:00pm, at its Vinton location: a Summer Dance Camp covering multiple dance styles plus dance history, vocabulary and arts and crafts, and a Musical Theatre Camp built around singing, dancing, acting and stage skills. Both are designed for rising kindergarteners through 6th graders, separate students by age and level, cost $200 per student, and end with a showcase at 1:00pm on the Friday. Registration is open to the public online. The school has operated in the Roanoke Valley since 1928 and teaches tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop and clogging year-round.
