PB&J Theatre Co. runs half-day themed youth theatre camps out of Roanoke Ballet Theatre's studios on Grandin Road, a partnership formed to give young people an affordable way to learn acting and dance. Past camps have covered songs and scenes from Disney animated films and from Matilda, and a comedy camp built on dark twists to familiar stories with character mask-making. Sessions run a week, either mornings (8:30 AM-12:00 PM) or afternoons (1:00-5:00 PM), and cost $125 to $150.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact The PB&J Theatre Co. directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Google Reviews
Powered by GoogleI don't like to write reviews where I take off stars, but I wish I had had one to read when I was looking for a drama class for my kid. I have heard good things about this organization. I am sure they are wonderful. But please note that if your child is neurodivergent they might not feel equipped to accommodate. I reached out about my kid who is ND. He is delayed in speech and socially, so is age 6 but like age 4 in those areas. I signed him up for the age 4/5 class and told them about the situation. I was told later that they couldn't teach him. I was not asked any questions about how he works, his past experience in similar classes...nothing. I was just asked for my address for a refund. My mama heart is hurting. I don't have it in me to knock off more stars as I'm sure they do great work and, I guess, I'm glad I know they are not open to ND students before my child was put in that situation. But still. I wish there was a review like this to read before I had gone through all that.
