Floyd Ward School of Dance, open since 1928, runs its FWSD Summer Dance Camp at its Vinton studio for rising kindergarten through 6th graders, who are separated by age and level. Campers take dance classes in multiple styles and also cover dance history and vocabulary; the cost is $200 per student and the camp runs 9:00am to 2:00pm. The school teaches ages 3-18 year-round in tap, jazz, ballet, ballroom, pointe, contemporary/modern, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre and clogging across its Vinton and Botetourt locations.
