Central Recreation Center
Private
Aurora's Central Recreation Center, at 18150 E. Vassar Place, is a city facility whose youth programming includes summer and school-vacation day camps run by Aurora Parks, Recreation and Open Space. Camps published for ages 7-12 include an art day run with the Art Students League of Denver that includes swimming in the center's pool, and single-day field-trip camps such as a 8 a.m.-4 p.m. trip to Ninja Nation. The center is also a walk-in registration site for the city's full summer camp catalog.

Powered by GoogleBest Recreation center I have used. Great gym and the guest using the gym are very kind. I sometimes ask advice about lifting or an exercise and everyone suggests something to help me. Shaun at the front desk is outstanding! Guy needs and deserves a raise. Great pool. The center even had a wave pool! Great Lazy river as well. Try this recreation center as soon as possible. I have seen some real ballers on the basketball courts. Even the classes look fun.
Elgin is THE BEST trainer / Bootcamp instructor I have had in over a decade (possibly ever). His workouts are so simplistic and insanely effective! Especially when dealing with people’s bodies who are injured easily. Elgin has saved my body for multiple years now from injury and has helped me to maintain consistency within my physically demanding job. If Elgin ever leaves, I will be canceling my membership for the rec centers. I truly really hope this rec center values such an amazingly knowledgeable, dedicated and caring employee!!! Thank you Elgin for your consistent devotion to not only your classes, but your clients! We truly do value your commitment and sacrifices!!
I visited the ARISE program at the Aurora Recreation Center to inquire about accessible summer camp options for my child with special needs. We were assisted by Brea, who was extremely kind, welcoming, and patient. She took the time to explain all the program and summer camp options in detail and made sure all our questions were answered clearly and thoroughly. Her supportive attitude made a big difference in our experience. She made us feel comfortable and included, and for the first time I felt confident and excited about enrolling my child in the program. I truly appreciate her professionalism and kindness. It was a very positive experience overall.
