We signed our 9-year-old up for the 3rd–4th grade Vollytots beginner volleyball clinic to build her confidence before the school program. After her experience with basketball being ruined by teams with more experienced kids, we were careful to find a true beginner program — which was not easy. Unfortunately, the clinic placed her with much older, advanced 5th–7th graders. She was overwhelmed, left out, and we had to leave before the first session was even over. This experience completely ruined the confidence we hoped to build and her excitement for volleyball. While the clinic offered to make adjustments if she returned, she absolutely did not want to go back after that first day — she felt embarrassed and out of place. While the refund $85 was prorated for one week, this is ridiculous considering she was unable to participate at all due to the clinic’s placement error. I feel a fair refund would have been the $125 program fee minus the $15 shirt and $10 admin fee. I paid nearly $140 total, including non-refundable fees and insurance in case of injury or illness, which I did not expect back. Parents, be aware this program may not provide the beginner-friendly, supportive environment advertised.

I have had 3 children that have attended CIE over the years and this volleyball club really focuses on developing each child’s skills. If your child, is seriously interested in improving their skills or pursuing college volleyball, this is the place to be in the Peoria area.

CIE is not what it used to be!! Very disappointing... to received an invitation email for open gym in which it says" not registered will need to pay 5" and when you go over to practice you just received an insult because you decided to tryout at East side club?!!!Shameful
