Easterseals Central Illinois is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Peoria that serves children with developmental delays, disabilities and autism from birth through age 21 across McLean, Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties. Its camp and recreation work centers on Timber Pointe Outdoor Center, a fully accessible camp where children and families swim, shoot archery, boat, ride horseback, rock climb and use a high ropes course, with adaptive equipment so campers of all abilities can take part. It also runs iCanBike, a week-long program that teaches children with disabilities to ride a bike using specialized equipment, and adaptive swim lessons for ages 4-10.
