Girl Scouts of Central Illinois runs day and overnight summer camps at Camp Kiwanis, Camp Tapawingo, Camp Widjiwagan and Quincy Community Day Camp, open to all girls whether or not they are already Girl Scouts. Campers swim, canoe, hike, tie-dye, cook out, meet barn animals and make crafts, and older sessions add horseback riding, rock climbing and teen leadership tracks. Day camp runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for girls entering grades 1-5 or 1-6, while overnight campers stay three to fourteen nights (five is typical) in rustic platform tents or cabins tucked into the woods. The council uses flexible pricing and offers camp scholarships, including full scholarships for families meeting free-lunch guidelines.

Excellent staff and volunteers
Super cute store and very helpful staff!
They have weird hours
IMPORTANT: They are closed for lunch from 1 to 2, not 12 to 1 as some people might think. This has been something we forget when we go there on multiple occasions!
