I can’t say enough wonderful things about Carolina Kids. From the administrative team to the teachers and even the cook, every single person truly cares about the children and families they serve. The level of compassion, kindness, and support they provide through every season of parenting is something special. My child is currently in the two-year-old program and has been attending since the infant room. Over the years, this team has truly become an extension of our family. The curriculum is engaging, enriching, and thoughtfully tailored to each age group. Now that my child is talking more, I love hearing him come home excitedly sharing all the fun and interesting things he learned and experienced during the day. As a working mom, receiving pictures and updates through the app is such a meaningful bonus and gives me so much peace of mind throughout the day. Anytime we’ve ever had a question or concern, the administrative team has handled it quickly with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. I would wholeheartedly recommend Carolina Kids to any family looking for a nurturing, supportive, and enriching environment for their child. I highly encourage anyone considering childcare to schedule a tour and meet the amazing team at Carolina Kids.

The majority of the teachers here are fantastic, and I want to make it very clear that this review is not directed at them. Most of the staff genuinely care about the children and want what is best for them. Honestly, if it weren’t for the teachers, we would have moved our children out of this school a long time ago. The biggest issues we’ve experienced have consistently been with management and the lack of willingness to address concerns brought forward by parents. One issue involved flooding at the facility, which has already been mentioned in another review. The school was closed for several days, yet parents were never refunded for the time the daycare was not operational. Another ongoing concern involved children in the 2-year-old class being sent home in dirty underwear, soiled pull-ups (despite pull-ups supposedly only being used during naps), or sometimes with no underwear at all. This issue was brought to the attention of the assistant director multiple times, including by parents who also had children attending the school, but nothing meaningfully changed. Communication from the director and assistant director has been consistently poor, and feedback or criticism often feels dismissed instead of addressed constructively. Most recently, during Teacher Appreciation Week, parents were asked to share how much they love the teachers and staff. The truth is, many of us do genuinely love the teachers. They are the reason families continue to stay despite the ongoing issues with management and administration. It’s frustrating to continue paying things like the $150 per child “priority registration fee” while parents are left wondering where that money actually goes, especially when legitimate concerns continue to be ignored.

If you want your kid’s individual needs actually met and expect basic hygiene — this is not the place. Do your research before enrolling. Visit unannounced if you can. And when you read the reviews, keep in mind the glowing ones might not be coming from actual parents. Kids get shuffled classroom to classroom all day just to hit ratio numbers — though I’ve seen them above ratio too. No thought given to how that affects them. Our child had been fully potty trained and started regressing multiple times. Coming home in wet pull-ups. We also found bowel movements left smeared on clothing instead of being cleaned up. That’s not a small thing. That’s neglect. There are some really good teachers there, honestly. You can tell some actually care — but it’s obvious the administration doesn’t treat them well or set them up to succeed. Instead of fixing that, leadership would rather have staff and their spouses leave fake positive reviews than actually earn good ones. (We see you Madison, Emma, Luke, Marah, Cody, and Dustin.) And you’ll pay handsomely for all of it. Costs keep climbing and the fees are genuinely ridiculous — even for returning families with multiple kids enrolled. Loyalty means nothing here. Also be prepared — your wallet will feel as empty as their accountability. Corporate America has no place in childcare. Policies upon policies that don’t benefit the kids.

We’ve been part of the Carolina kids family For over three years now And I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. We don’t have family that lives close So these teachers and staff members have become our village. We are so grateful for the hard work and intention that goes into each week with carefully considered lesson plans that keep the kids, engaged and excited about going to school each day. We’re so grateful for the staff members being willing and able to meet each of our kids where they are at making them feel loved and cared for even during the most challenging days of big feelings. The staff is incredibly communicative with parents around what they’re working on with the children each week and providing updates throughout the day so we don’t feel like we’re missing anything and we can make sure we can align how we are supporting the children at home with what they are working on at school. Thank you Carolina kids family for such an incredible experience!

I am so genuinely happy with the services me and my family have received from this facility. As a first time parent dropping our child off to be cared for while we work is a big deal and can be worrisome. The facility keeps us up to speed on how our child is doing through the day with pictures and notes throughout the entire day. I also was paying attention to how they manage the children. They pay special attention to making sure every child is accounted for by seasoned techniques. The attention to detail to make sure every child is verbally counted for out loud when moving through rooms, the security involved with the facility, the careful planning for food and nap time, the ability to give each child special attention at any point and time. They even have strict guidelines to ensure the health of our child is never compromised by not only meeting but by exceeding state regulations in serving food, cleanliness of the play rooms and mandatory first aid/cpr certification for each employee. I honestly feel so at ease knowing the people here really love each child coming in through their door and have so much professional at helping the parents transition as well. I have no doubt in my mind that my child is protected when I drop them off. I applaud the services they have given me, my wife and my child. Hands down a great experience that gives us peace of mind.
