Full-day summer day camp at the Greater Carbondale YMCA, running 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended care from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Campers swim, visit local parks, play gym and team-building games, and take Wednesday field trips to spots like Camel Beach and SnoCove. Early-bird discounts and financial assistance (via the ELRC) are available.

★★jay celineI am only giving this 2 stars because there are few daycare employees who are actually caring and compassionate. however there are many care takers that verbally abuse children as well as put them in time out, scream and yell at them, and grip them up instead of redirecting them. They will do all this behind closed doors and then act like everything is fine to the parents face. there is specifically a teacher that has a LIST of write ups yet nothing is being done about it. they also have cameras in every room to see exactly how they are treated, the only thing they don’t is audio, i pray these poor children are in better hands and that the teachers are moved to new rooms or a new facility, if i could i would pull my child out immediately but im currently on a waiting list for a new daycare.

★★★★★Laurie DeMarkI have been a member of the Carbondale YMCA for over 20 years. My children have grown up here and have learned the importance of community, health and friendship. It has truly been a lifeline for us in many ways. The facility is very clean and has 2 beautiful gyms, a pool and amazing workout facility and equipment, including a sauna and steam room. The staff are BEYOND amazing and professional. There is always something to do for all family members with many special activities being offered for all ages. In addition, this facility provides early education and childcare with a Keystone Star 4 rating. It has been my family's home away from home for many years.
