Camp Wakpominee is the Twin Rivers Council Scouting America camp on 1,000 acres with its own Sly Pond in the secluded Adirondack foothills of Washington County near Lake George. Founded in 1920 and at the Sly Pond site since 1931, it runs a Scouts BSA resident (overnight) camp week in late July and a separate Cub Scout day camp week in August, plus year-round camping. Activities include hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, shooting sports, crafts and ATVs with training.

Close enough to Lake George that it isn't a long drive but remote enough so that it feels like you are cut off from the rest of society. Overall great camp.
