Camp Sertoma of South Carolina
Private
Camp Sertoma is a week-long overnight camp at the Clemson University Outdoor Lab for children roughly ages 7-13 who are underprivileged, have a speech impairment, or are deaf or hard of hearing. Campers try archery, sailing, canoeing, swimming, fishing, a climbing tower, arts and crafts, and overnight camping on the Outdoor Lab's large lakeside property. Staff supervise around the clock at a 1:3 camper ratio in cabins and 1:4 at activities. Founded in 1975 through a partnership between South Carolina Sertoma clubs and Clemson University, the camp serves about 240 children a year across six one-week sessions, and Outdoor Lab programs are ACA-accredited.
