Camp Paha is the City of Lakewood's summer day camp for children ages 6-17 with disabilities, with a companion Paha Adults in Transition program for ages 18-25. Campers take part in aquatics, sports, games, nature, hiking, music, drama, arts and crafts, and community field trips. Camp runs seven weeks from mid-June to early August, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Camp Care hours from 7-9 a.m. and 5-6 p.m. Staffing is one adult per four campers. The camp serves campers with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Fragile X, spina bifida, seizure disorders, autism, ADHD and other disabilities, is licensed by Colorado as a school-age child care program, and is accredited by the American Camp Association.
