Camp O' the Hills is a Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan property on more than 100 acres of rolling hills in the Irish Hills near Brooklyn, with three lakes: Wamplers, Hidden and Timber. Activities include archery, BB guns, slingshots, hatchet throwing, tree climbing, crate stacking, canoeing, kayaking, geocaching, letterboxing and a nature center. Lodging ranges from four-season lodges to tent camping, and the site is about 45 minutes from the council's Jackson and Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor centers.

★★★★★Kelley HissongI have known the camp directors at Camp O the Hills for years and have camped here many times with my troop. This is a wonderful camp for Girl Scouts. Very welcoming. The directors bend over backward to make sure everyone has a great experience. The safety procedures are top notch, especially when trespassers bypass multiple "private property, no trespassing" signs and drive the long drive into camp. The safety of all campers is of utmost priority. I would recommend this camp to all Troop Leaders to come for program weekends or on your own for a wonderful, fun filled camp experience.
★V PDrove down after hours to check the place out. The gate was open and we drove down the road and turned around. On the way out a guy came out of the first house past the trading post with a shotgun and yelled at and chased us. I would NEVER bring my kids here. If your kids have been here I suggest you sit them down and ask them some hard questions about their experience. If they are this concerned about people driving down the drive, imagine what they could be hiding. I don’t have words to explain how creepy that experience was.

★★★★★Catie MigliettiWe had our first Girl Scout camp experience here for their “Me & My Gal” camp over Mother’s Day weekend. We loved it and didn’t even have time to do everything we wanted to. We got to pack in bonfires, a sing-a-long, s’mores, a wagon ride, canoeing, letterboxing, archery, hula dancing, crafts and lots and lots of tabletop games for the girls to bond over during their free time. It’s a quiet, peaceful camp and reminded me exactly of my own experiences at Girl Scout camps when I was younger. They are currently working through some projects to update and modify some of their lodging and amenities so they can offer even more to the girls in the future and Ranger Bill’s enthusiasm about the future of Camp O’ the Hills is evident! Kelly was excellent with the girls and made sure they were enjoying their time at camp. We can’t wait to go back! I was very satisfied with their consideration toward Covid precautions. Also, we appreciated how much concern they showed toward our dietary restrictions (vegan) as it was not something they were very familiar with prior to our stay. Nana made an effort to accommodate our dietary needs and even asked for more info so she will be able to prepare even more for potential future vegan Girl Scouts!
