Camp Gan Israel San Diego is a Chabad-run Jewish day camp at 10785 Pomerado Road in Scripps Ranch, organised into three divisions: Kiddy Kamp for ages 2-4, General Camp for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade, and Pioneers/Sports Camp for boys entering 4th grade. General Camp days combine sports, crafts, swimming, drama and weekly trips such as roller skating, boating and ice skating, with overnights and camping excursions for the Pioneers division; the camp employs coaches, swim instructors and art specialists to run its specialist programming. Kiddy Kamp offers flexible schedules, a pre- and post-camp care programme and optional hot lunches. Tuition is $420 a week for both Kiddy Kamp and General Camp (week 3 is $340), or $3,360 and $2,440 respectively for the whole summer, plus a $150 per-family security fee; early bird, sibling discounts and scholarships are published.

They create fun itineraries for the children based around a theme, including field trips every week and outings almost every day. The camp atmosphere is welcoming, fun, adventurous, inclusive and creates so much camaraderie amongst the campers. Camp has a snack cart, offers hot lunch, after hours care, and Bluma is always accessible for questions and check ins. I trust my children with Bluma and Mendy, and know they are safe and well cared for when they are at Camp Gan. I would highly recommend this camp!
