Girl Scouts - Heart of Central California

Camp Fleming is a 440-acre Girl Scouts Heart of Central California property in the Sierra foothills outside Placerville, with a two-story lodge sleeping up to 94, fifteen tent campsites, hiking trails and an archery range. GSHCC describes Fleming as predominantly a rental property for troops and service units; the council's 2026 camp brochure lists weekend overnight programs held there for members entering grades K-12 accompanied by registered, background-checked adults. Programs include an Outdoor Learning Weekend, a Rising Cadette Camporee, troop camp weekends and a Two of Us weekend. Camperships are available, and participation requires registered Girl Scout membership.

Wow. I mean wow. This place is so much fun. The counselors are nice, facilities are clean and orderly, and man can you feel the energy here. Its packed full of years and years of girl scout fun and learning. Tge girls really run this place and you can tell. Way to go.

We love girl scouts and Camp Fleming is an amazing experience for the girls. I don't necessarily enjoy the long curvy drive or the narrow wooden bridge but the site is pretty cool.

Seems like a nice place. Staff is friendly, facily looks good, but the, one car lane, Happy Valley road down is definitely a negative. Especially at night, lots of risk for accidents, drive it carefully.

Awesome Girl Scout lodge and campground! Very glad to see Girl Scouts offer more and more Council run camps and overnights at this wonderful facility. All Girl Scouts in northern California should go at least once. I hope Council will thoughtfully grow and develop this property to benefit girls for years to come.
