Camp Emanuel's Resident Camp is a five-day, four-night inclusive overnight camp held at Camp Kern in Oregonia, with a published daily schedule that includes canoeing, archery, a giant swing and Tango Tower, a zip line, horseback riding and fishing, a petting zoo and bird watching, swimming, a wagon ride, movie night and a talent show. Campers arrive Sunday between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. and are picked up Thursday between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m.; families enroll by returning an application with a $50 deposit by May 15. It serves ages 9 to 17, housed in cabins by age and gender with counsellors sleeping in the cabins, and capacity is 30 campers per session. Staff include a registered nurse, a speech and language therapist and interpreters.
