YMCA Camp Kern is a residential and day camp on 480 wooded acres in Oregonia, operating since 1910 and billed as the largest resident camp in Ohio. Serving ages 5-18 from June to August, it offers traditional overnight sessions plus specialty/themed, horse, teen leadership, and day and semi-residential options. Activities include swimming, horseback riding, high ropes, ziplining, canoeing and kayaking, fishing and campfires.

★★★★★Sean EvansJust visited there last week with my son’s 5th grade class. It was very nostalgic for me as I did the same trip when I was in 5th grade at the same school 30 some odd years ago. There were so many memories that came back and I am sure my son will be the same way if he ever visits later on in his life. He had so much fun with his friends and the camp counselors did a great job keeping them all very active during the days which helped tire them out for bed. As a chaperone that was very much appreciated. Mathew and the entire crew of counselors did a great job. My son and I are still singing some of the songs that we sang around the camp fire, mainly the moose song. I have nothing but good things to say and would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to chaperone their child’s class to do so, you will not regret it for one second. Thank you Camp Kern for the memories when I was a child and the opportunity for my son and I to create new memories.
