A play-based children's art studio in Chicago's Lincoln Square running themed weekly summer camps led by art educators. Each camp day balances guided projects with open-ended art time, and the studio's approach is process-based, focused on the experience of making rather than the finished piece. Bunny Ears serves babies through elementary-age children across camps, classes, workshops and open art sessions.

My kids spent a winter camp day at Bunny Ears Art House after one of them had already taken an art class there, and they absolutely loved it. From the moment you arrive, the staff greets you at the door and is warm and polite, taking time to talk with both parents and children. The space is very clean, and I appreciated how they ask kids to leave their shoes outside the class area to keep everything tidy. The activities go far beyond drawing and painting. The kids created truly beautiful crafts that they were proud to bring home. They even partnered with the restaurant next door, and my kids were served a healthy, wholesome meal of dumplings filled with meat and vegetables. They also took the kids to a nearby playground, which was such a thoughtful touch. My kids had an awesome day, and it made me very happy to see how engaged they were. When I arrived to pick them up, they still wanted to keep working on their art, which said everything. They even continued some of the projects at home, like knitting they learned there, and made more art pieces such as necklaces and bracelets to give as gifts. We cannot wait to come back for more.

Sweet little creative studio for all ages of kids! I brought my 7 mo for the Tiny Play Art session and she seemed to really love it! We felt safe and everything was so clean. There were so many things to explore, they even had a very contained art project—baby’s first piece of art. We’ll be back and bring my older kiddo too!

Bunny Ears is a true neighborhood gem! It’s been such an important part of our family over the past few years. This fun, clean, and creative art space offers a wide range of programs that have grown with our kids’ interests. We’ve done it all — from Mini Play Art sessions and Open Play, to birthday parties, school-day-off camps, and summer camps. Our oldest especially loves the camp days! Open Play is perfect for playdates, and I love that I can leave the Play-Doh, paint, and water play messes there instead of at home. The projects and themes are always thoughtful, often made with recycled materials, which I really appreciate. The toy selection is great too — well-curated and rotated often to keep things fresh. We’ve never had trouble getting spots for Open Play, but camps do sell out fast, so plan ahead! Bunny Ears is also my go-to for last-minute gifts. Their gift cards are easy and always a hit, and the curated art merchandise up front is adorable. My 3- and 5-year-old absolutely LOVE Bunny Ears, and as a parent, I genuinely look forward to spending time in such a bright, inspiring space. Jinny (the owner) and her team — Jory and Jen — are so friendly, patient, and kind. We’re so lucky to have this creative space in our community!

We couldn’t have chosen a better venue than Bunny Ears Art House for my son’s first birthday! Jinny went above and beyond to ensure the day was perfect and that every kiddo, regardless of age, had a blast. The open-ended activities and crafts sparked creativity and kept the little ones happily engaged, while the Tinker Station was a hit with the older kids. Jinny’s attention to detail, from setup to cleanup, and her genuine care for making the event special didn’t go unnoticed. She was accommodating to every request and made sure everything flowed seamlessly, leaving us free to enjoy the day. The space itself is inspiring, warm, and filled with opportunities for imaginative play. I couldn’t recommend Bunny Ears Art House more for any celebration—it’s a gem for creative and joyful memories!

This is such a great place for kids to be themselves and have fun! My son hates leaving the house but runs out the door to go to Bunny Ears. He looks forward to his class every week. We struggle with sensory issues and Bunny Ears is a calm, safe place that doesn’t trigger my son. His favorite thing is the sensory bin that’s different every week! Jinny takes her time to know all the kids who come in and truly treats us like family. I’m so thankful to have a place like this!
