Brockport Yacht Club is a member-owned, do-it-yourself sailing club on the south shore of Lake Ontario near the mouth of Sandy Creek, west of Rochester. Its youth offering is a free two-day Sunfish learn-to-sail class held July 31 and August 1, running 9am to 4pm both days with lunch provided, combining land instruction with weather-permitting time on the water. It is open to ages 8-18 who can swim without a life jacket; children under 12 need an adult present, and participants must be a BYC family member or sponsored by one. Boats are provided if a sailor does not have a Sunfish.

Great place to kayak! Couldn't go out on the lake due to rough waters, but I had a great time with my sister just puttin' around the inlets.
Great club and friendly members. Best front porch on Lake Ontario.
Been here for boyscouts, fishing, docking, trailering my boat, and just hanging out. Wonderful off grid boat launch that makes you feel like your actually in a small Adirondack lake. Highly recommended you dont take a biat bigger than 26 feet to the boat launch, its a fast downward slope and the water there past the yacht club towards inland gets more and more shallow
I don't belong to the BYC, but the public boat launch across the outlet is great. Always clean and usually low traffic
